What is IBANGS?
The International Behavioural and Neural Genetics Society (IBANGS), was founded in 1996 to promote the field of neurobehavioural genetics. IBANGS organizes annual meetings to promote excellence in research on behavioural and neural genetics. IBANGS is a young and rapidly growing society with members in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia. We welcome established scientists, students and anyone else who is interested in the field of behavioural neurogenetics. IBANGS is a founding member of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS).

Genes, Brain and Behavior was launched in 2002 with the aim of publishing top quality research in behavioral and neural genetics in their broadest sense. The emphasis is on the analysis of the behavioral and neural phenotypes under consideration, the unifying theme being the genetic approach as a tool to increase our understanding of these phenotypes.
