Calls to Action As Congress begins its August recess, it is an important time for NeuroAdvocates to engage locally while members of Congress are back in their home states and districts for an extended period. The House and Senate are continuing to work through the FY26 appropriations process and the Senate Appropriations Committee recently passed on a bipartisan vote the FY26 Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations bill that included $47.1 billion in total base funding for NIH, a $300 million increase from FY25, so it is critical that they hear from constituents on the importance of health and research funding. |
